Making research visible, strengthening cooperation and positioning the region as a top location for science and innovation - this is what ForschungRegion Braunschweig e.V. stands for. As a strong network of research institutions, universities and companies, we pool expertise, bring stakeholders together and create space for collaborative projects such as the annual Salon der Wissenschaft.

With 4% of all employees, the Braunschweig region has the highest ‘density of scientists’ in Europe. Over 19,000 people work in the institutions of the ForschungRegion. In addition, there are over 20,000 employees in industrial research institutions. This makes Braunschweig a place where pioneering ideas are created - from basic research to application. The ForschungRegion supports the exchange between science, industry and society and helps to ensure that innovations are not only thought, but also made.
